Oakmont Invite Recap
After a hard week at camp, we still had some outstanding performances at the Oakmont Invite. The Varsity Girls were 7th of 18, with a 3rd place individual finish by Julia. She was also the most improved for the girls this week, running 2:05 faster than last year, and is now #2 on McClatchy’s All-Time list. The Frosh/Soph Girls were 9th of 17, with the top 5 (Olivia, Larissa, Harper, Michelle and Lena) running the fastest ever McClatchy team time for that division.
The Varsity Boys took 10th of 27 teams, led by Parker. Joe Wiley, was 2nd for McClatchy with a McClatchy freshman record for the course. In the Sophomore Boys division, we took 11th of 20, with 3 freshman in our top 5. That team (Ben, Sam, Joe Bogdan, Ryan and Carson) also ran the fastest McClatchy team time for that division.
Other notable improvements over last years times were Henry 2:52, Sam 2:08, Clara 1:25, Ben 1:21, Nelson 0:30 and Camille 0:19.
