Lagoon Valley Recap
Nice job at Lagoon Valley! The varsity athletes had a chance to run the 2 mile course once again and see their improvements over last year or two years ago.
The varsity boys took 4th out of 23 teams. Jonah took 2nd overall for the varsity boys in an impressive 11:00 (or 10:59.9 if we are being more precise). That’s a 42s pr for the course. Derek was 8th overall, with 11:12, a 58s course pr. Stephen was 23rd, with 11:34, a 15s course pr. Emmett and Marcos rounded out the top 5 for the varsity boys with 12:03 and 12:14.
The varsity girls also took 4th place out of 19 teams. Ashley led the team with a 13:45 followed by Justine in 14:07 (29s course pr), Megan (14:54), Sophia (1526) and Quincy (16:17).
The frosh/soph boys posted an impressive 6th place out 27 teams. They were led by Parker Van Ostrand in 12:14, who took 10th place out of 286 runners and was the first freshman. Nelson was 2nd for the CKM in 12:23 (1:51 faster than last year). Jackson (13:05), Damon (13:21) and Ben (13:41) rounded out the top 5.
The frosh/soph girls were one short of complete team, but had some great individual performances. Julia Heckey finished 7th out of 182 runners in 14:34 and Camille was 22nd in 15:38 (3s faster than last year).
The JV boys and girls also had incomplete teams, but some good individual races. Brian finished 8th of 214 runners in 12:37 and Michelle was 12th of 73 and showed great improvement over last week. Hilda also had a course pr of 5s despite the heat. Great job everyone!
